The Peninsula Youth Umpires Association umpires youth softball all along the San Francisco Peninsula. We are a certified ASA/USA organization.
All of our umpires are required to attend rules clinics, mechanics clinics, take a written test, and complete Safe Sport certification www.safesport.org prior to going on the field so all teams will have certified umpires working their games. For more information regarding Safe Sport please visit the forms page for full information.
What does it take to become an umpire? It takes desire and the ability to work with others. PYUA will provide the rules and mechanics and any other training for you to become a successful umpire.
Please explore this site to find out more about our requirements and general explanations.
News Update:
Our annual umpires dinner will be January 14, 2024 – 6:30 PM: Basque Cultural Center 599 Railroad Ave., SSF.
